A lovely 2.5 story stuccoed mill with basement/foudation. The stone is primarily fieldstone or sndstone in this locality. Mill is nicely situated by a stone arch bridge alongside the Black River. UPDATE***Frank Olenick 09/25/04*** The Hacklebarney Creek flows into the Black River, the source of power for the mill, just south of the mill site.

Small flock of geese also made the mill their home. The miller's house is across the road from the front of the mill.

Directions: Take NJ 24 one mile west from Chester Boro. and turn left just past the Cooper Mill. onto State Park Rd. Turn left onto Hacklebarney Rd. and travel downhill, winding through the wooded countryside about one mile to the mill on left.
