The wooden frame mill of smaller proportions was moved from it original location on Pataha Creek in 1940. Additional sheds were built onto it to make a hay barn for a ranch.
Operated with water power using a wooden waterwheel and one set of 36" millstones. One of the stones, the nether stone, is in the Garfield Co. Museum. Operation lasted only about 10 years, a competition was too great from larger mills in the locality.
