The mill is a 2 story frame structure of 25'X 35' dimensions with several small additions. Built of wood and left to weather, the wood has taken on an almost black color, making picture exposure difficult.

Various pieces of roller mill equipment remain. In 1998, the mill was scheduled for restoration by the owning agency, the Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources.

Directions: West of Salem, Mo., Dent Co. seat, 11 miles on Mo 32 to Mo 119. South on 119 for 9 miles to village of Montauk. A short way on CR 667 to mill inside Montauk State Park.
