Initially a turbine mill, a auxillary diesel engine was employed. Some of the shafts, gearing and the turbine are outside in the grass along the creek. Everything is still intact inside the mill, so these shafts and gearing outside must be old oudated mechanisms or from another mill. The owner likes to show the mill, but this IS private property, so ASK PERMISSION before you go moseying around. UPDATED: **Mr. Etherton, 3/07/05**

As of March 1998, the diesel engine and wooden wagon scales were still at the mill. The diesel engine is still in good condition and could be gotten to run with some tinkering. PM pphoto opportunities are best. There is another mill site about halfway to Ritchey along Shoal Creek on Sh W from US 60 with miller's house ruins on the hill across the road. No info on this mill.
