A brick mill of 4.5 stories in height, it measures about 45'X 60' as to the footprint. Very faintly visible between the 3rd and 4th story windows on the north end are the words, Hermann Star Mills. Ther was apparently a 1.5 story addition that was removed from the south end somtime since operations ceased.
The town of Hermann was predominently German settled, and today, is an area of wineries and preserved German architecture. More help needed here for history and operation.
| Directions:
Along the Missouri River on First Street/Mo 100 in the town of Hermann two blocks east of Mo 100's intersection with Mo 19 at the bridge over the river. At First and Guttenburg Sts. |
