The adobe brick mill is built on a stone foundation and is located near the community of Cleveland, New Mexico just a few miles northwest of the community of Mora on NM 518.
The mill has been restored to working condition and has been a working mill/museum for the last few years.
The wooden water trough that delivers water to the outside overshot wheel of the Cleveland Roller Mill is supplied by a tributary of the Mora River. The mill was originally built to grind grain for the farmers in the area.
A closer view of the waterwheel. The mill is in great shape, especially considering the contruction with adobe brick, which is more easily eroded than rock.

Located about 35 miles north of Las Vegas, New Mexico on NM 518. From the county seat of Mora, continue west on NM 518 for 2-3 miles. Turn right at sign for Cleveland Roller Mill. Back on gravel road about .5 mile. |
