This structure is not the mill, but served as the milling company's office since 1943, when it was built. A mill is supposedly located down by the Osage River east edge of town.
The Anchor Milling Company was incorporated in 1898. The office is now the Miller County Museum.
The museum segment of the grounds includes several log cabins, one of which is the Peter Barton Lapiduis cabin, built in the 1860's and located on the left in the photo. It was moved here from another part of the county.
| Directions:
On the Mo 52 about 12 miles east of US 54 at the western edge of Tuscumbia, Mo., between the sweeping corner coming into town and High Street, on the left side of Mo 52. |
