The 30'X 40' frame grist mill 3 stories in height is wrapped with rusty steel siding and some 3-tab type siding. The mill is noted for not being very photogenic, but it does have a certain charm about it in its scenic, wooded location.

The sign written on the door cautioned not to enter the building. No one was at home at the mill residence at time of visit.

Brush Creek is behind the photographer. The mill, as it stands, appears to be used primarily for storage, as all equipment has been removed. *Update: The mill was purchased by Herb and Ruth Hinson in the late 1960's, my grandfather died in February 2005 and his widow, Ruth, still resides there. I spent most of my childhood playing in that mill and it still has some of the machinery in the top floor. Brian Shoemaker 05/09/2006*
