The 40'X 60' mill is a mixture of brown sandstone and limestone in a magnificent structure rising to 3.5 stories. Situated on a present day church camp, the mill was built in 1822 by Adam & Catherine Mensch.
The 1734-68 Maybury-Hereford Furnace site is directly across the road that runs behind the mill. One of the first cookstoves in America was made here in 1767. There is a replica in granite of the cookstove on a slope near the creek.
