The site of the 1850 Herbert Grist Mill built by George & Elizabeth Herbert on Beaver Creek in the then community of Inavale, Oregon. This site is also commemorated as the place of the Inavale Post Office of 1893, operated by John & Mary Mitchell. More info needed.

Directions: From the middle of Philomath, Benton Co., Or turn south off US 20 onto S. 15th St. Go 0.5 miles, turn left on SW Chapel Dr., go 2 miles, and turn right on Bellfountain Road. Travel south for about 7 miles to Inavale. Turn left just after the grade school onto Greenberry Road. The mill Memorial marker is just on the right on the property of the farm on the right.
