The old saw mill that was stone foundation with some deteriorating boards above has now also been restored to an excellent condition, again not known if functional.

It is not known if the saw mill was built the same time as the original grist mill in 1809, but from the looks of the saw mill in 1992, it could very well have been built when the early grist mill was built.

The owner, Mr. Arthur P. Bert, works in structural renovation of architectural cpmponents. He has restored the two mills since the turn of the century.

I don't know if the saw mill is functioning, but least the outer structure has been preserved.

Located about 5 miles SSW of Dillsburg, York Co., Pa on US 15. Turn left off US 15 onto Clear Spring Road, traverse another 0.25 miles to the mill on the right at the junction with Capitol Hill Road. The saw mill is behind the grist mill. |
